Egypt's 2016/17 budget deficit at 10.9 pct compared to 12.5 pct in pvs year

CAIRO, Aug 8 (Reuters) - Egypt's budget deficit for the fiscal year 2016/2017 that ended in June stood at 10.9 percent compared to 12.5 percent for the previous year, a presidency statement said on Tuesday.

Gross domestic product growth stood at 4.9 percent in the fourth quarter of the 2016/2017 fiscal year while total GDP growth for the year was at 4.1 percent, it said.
