On the 11th of April, the German-Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce (GACIC), official representative of Messe Münchenin Egypt, examined the growth opportunities of the Egyptian beverage industry, to be able to successfully penetrate new export markets. The workshop was organized on the occasion of drinktec, world’s leading trade fair for the beverages and liquid food industry, which takes place in Munich once every four years since 60 years.
“It is of utmost importance for Egyptian manufacturers to visit drinktec to acquire the latest trends and technologies in processing, packaging, quality control and other factors of the value chain that are significant to their businesses and will enhance their competitive advantage in the international market,” stated Mr. Andreas Hergenröther,CEO of the GACIC.
Georg Moller,Member of Advisory Board, Messe München GmbH,and Beatrix Fraese, Manager of the Machine and Beverage Division of the Association of German Manufacturers of Machines and Plants (VDMA)addressed the key Egyptian players in the field of beverages, dairy, oils and packagingwith the latest technologies showcasedin drinktec, which expects to attract around 1,600 exhibitors and around 70,000 trade visitors – two third of which are from outside Germany-covering a total space of 150,000 square meters.
Participating in international trade fairs provides the ideal vehicle for export promotion, as it is a reflection of the maturity of the Egyptian industries on the international arena.
