MEDITEX III: Building Euro-Mediterranean Crossroads to Create Textile Synergies
Capitalizing on ENPI CBC Med Projects Sustexnet,
Texmed & Euromed Invest
1st-2nd December 2015 – Alexandria, Egypt
With the aim of creating sustainable commercial relations and encouraging foreign direct investment in the textile sector, the German Arab Chamber of Industry and Commerce in cooperation with ASCAME and the EMDC Foundation are organizing the “MEDITEX Conference and Roadshow: Building Euro-Mediterranean Crossroads to create Textile synergies” in Alexandria on 1st and 2nd of December 2015.
The Euro-Med Invest EU funded MEDITEX Roadshow is an ASCAME initiative and is being held for the 3rd time after the high success of its first 2 editions in both Istanbul and Tangier. This year the ENPI CBC Med EU funded TEXMED Clusters and Sustexnet projects are joining forces with this regional textile success story.
Over the course of a two-day event and with the support of national and regional government officials and other public and private decision makers, the MEDITEX III Roadshow will inform about the opportunities the Euromed region offers the textile sector while it aims to attract investments, sustainable technologies, designers, brand owners and retailers to help switch from the traditionally based subcontracting relations to co-contracting and the production of finished products. Different aspects of the regional textile sector will be discussed such as the available funding opportunities, the possibility of cluster cooperation between Mediterranean countries, available best practices for a sustainable technologies textile sector and many more.
By bringing over 30 businesses from the EU and South ENI countries to Egypt, this event is offering a great opportunity for exchange of experience as well as new avenues for dialogue and cooperation in over 250 planned B2B meetings.
