The conference will impart and deepen the understanding of the complexity of the multidimensional nature of the topic energy through five different working groups. The discussion will be based on an interdisciplinary approach and exchange of experience from Europe and the MENA region: From the expansion of renewable energies, to socio-economic implications and the adaptation of energy consciousness, the entire range of the topic will be analyzed and recommendations for action developed.
The various disciplinary perspectives shall be reflected in six working sessions that in each case afford several speakers an opportunity to succinctly introduce their project- or research work and to share their expertise on the main theme of their session in order to create a differentiated base for the subsequent discussion.
The working sessions are thereby headlined “Education as a Backbone for Raising Awareness on Energy Sustainability”, “Innovative Business Models Enabling Establishment of Renewable Energies in Developing Countries”, “Social Commitment Towards Ambitious Energy Transformation Goals”, “Securing the Future of Clean Energy Through a Stronger Support of Transmission”, “Bridging the Gap at its Best: Academia and Industry Collaboration in Energy Efficiency” and “Innovative Concepts for Network Stability Despite Variable Energy Infeed”.
