In the framework of the ENPI CBC MED Projects; European Neighborhood and Partnership Instrument, Cross Border Cooperation Projects, the Alexandria Sporting Club event is held with the support of four EU-funded projects focusing on Solar Energy, Waste Management, Dairy Products and Mediterranean Diet.
FOSTEr in MED intends to fully exploit the potential of solar technologies through the transfer of technical knowhow to actors of the sector (SMEs, engineers, students), the identification of best practices in the policy and regulatory fields and the implementation of five pilot projects aiming to equip public buildings with innovative solar photovoltaic plants.
Green Med Initiative aims to develop a cross-border, incentive based, recycling system to promote environmentally sustainable practices at a grass root level - mainly schools and universities - using a state of the art technology platform, supported by an awareness and communication program.
LACTIMED project aims to foster the production and distribution of typical and innovative dairy products in the Mediterranean by organising local value chains, supporting producers and promoting their products in the local and international markets.
MedDiet project aims to raise the awareness of consumers about the importance of preserving healthy food traditions.
