The "Qualification Program for Egyptian furniture craftsman, traders, industrialists and young graduates” is a project funded by the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Berlin - Germany) and is part of  the German-Egyptian transformation partnership. The project aims at developing the skills of 265 Egyptians within the country’s furniture labour industry, ranging from designers, sales people and engineers to business owners and furniture manufacturers. The project’s top priorities are the promotion of work processes, design orientations and trade in foreign markets.
On the long run, the program of the project will lead to the improvement of quality and enhance the productivity of the Egyptian furniture industry. Furthermore, it offers Egyptian companies opportunities to open new businesses and tap into new markets in Egypt and abroad. The project targets all furniture manufacturers within the furniture industry, however, in particular small and medium enterprises as they form the backbone of the Egyptian furniture market and are vital for the acquisition of know-how.

In that respect, the German-Arab Chamber of Industry & Commerce in Egypt in cooperation with Global Project Partners e.V. “GPP”, the GARANT Furniture Academy in Germany “GARANT Möbelakademie”, the German Federation of Buying and Marketing Groups “ZGV”, the Chamber of Woodworking and Furniture Industry in Egypt “CWWFI”, the Enterprise TVET Partnership “ETP”, and the Egyptian Furniture Export Council “EFEC”  are delighted to invite you to attend the Kick-Off Event of the Second Phase for the project “Professional Qualification of the Egyptian Furniture Sector”.
