The CPA - committed to the Egyptian consumer
The Consumer Protection Agency (CPA) has been entrusted with protecting the consumers’ interests as stipulated in the Consumer Protection Law (CPL) which was issued in 2006; founding the CPA as an independent legal entity, currently affiliated to the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade. The CPA takes a proactive role in informing the consumers about product recalls and commercial malpractices in an effort to safeguard their interests. The CPA in-house call center serves as the first contact point for receiving thousands of complaints each year which are then handled by the complaints department.
